The annual event Malaysian Domestic Tourism Fair for 2010 (MDTF' 10) is expected to provide an excellent platform and endless business opportunities for travel and tourism players, as well as creating a greater impact in the promotion of domestic tourism in Malaysia. The Fair is organised byt the National Council of Malaysia (NTCM) and is endorsed and supported by Tourism Malaysia. In meeting to be a premier domestic tourism fair to showcase the best MAlaysia has to offer all sectors of tourism such as tourist attractions, products, heritage and cultur, medical, ecotourism, lifestyle and leisure to events will be presented. MDTF' 10 promises to be an interesting and exciting affair with more activities and sub-events which includes Tourism Photo-Challenge contest, entertainment with cultural and modern social dances presentation, local food and cuisines promotions. MDTF' 10 is expected a participation of more than 200 booths with exhibitors offering value for money travel and holiday packages, good bargain and options to many people. Exhibitors will include Tourism Malaysia, State tourism organizations, airlines and the various tourism product operators, retailers and services providers. Tourism "speaker's session" will be organised for the public to attend nd participate in interesting talks and presentations. Consumer contest, lucky draws and product promotions with attractive prizes are to be won. MDTF' 10 is expecting a crowd of 25,000 visitors. A special focus will be given to attract the international communities in Malaysia including the Embassies, expatriates, international workforce and students,as well as to special interest groups such as adventure and nature seekers, sea and diving, outdoor and sports enthusiasts. The Malaysian Inbound Travel Association (MITA) trade and business sessions will be organised in conjunction with the Fair to attract foreign wholesalers, agents, corporates and media. |

MDTF '10 is the annual tourism Fair that is focused to promote domestic tourism, where industry stakeholders and players from all segments of tourism can showcase their products and services to the consumers and general public. Tourism destinations, attractions, products and services will be promoted and the newly established ones to be introduced. Holiday and travel bargains, vacation packages and great deals will be made available and offered by the various exhibitors. Consumers visiting the Fair will have the opportunity of getting better options as they plan for their holidays. Greater awareness of the exciting destinations, attractions and products within Malaysia itself is created so as to encourage everyone in Malaysia to travel, explore and experience locally. • Photo Challenge
A photography competition that is to be officially launched on 15th March. The competition will be open for participation to the general public. The theme of the photograph is to relate to the community of a particular destination....... be it activities, culture or occupation. Attractive prizes both in cash and kind will be offered to winners of the selected photographs. 100 finalist photographs will be selected and displayed during MDTF '10. Visitors to the fair will have the opportunity not only to view the selected photographs but can play a role to vote for the winners There will be special lucky draws with cameras as prizes to be won for the visitors who participate in the voting. |
• Bridal Tourism Extravaganza
A well known wedding fair organizer, Concept Exhibition (M) Sdn Bhd will be our partner to organize this first ever tourism bridal extravaganza. For this sub-event, a designated section with 29 booths will be taken up by local bridal houses that will offer wedding packages which include professional wedding photo, travel wedding shooting, wedding make-up, wedding day video, gown rental etc. Malaysia has many exquisite locations for celebrating dream weddings or spending a blissful honeymoon, or even to celebrate anniversaries to rekindle the romance. MDTF puts together bridal houses with the tourism fraternity - function venue providers, travel for pre-wedding packages and honeymoon packages. |

Tourism Speakers Sessions
| Hourly talk sessions on various exciting topics related to tourism will be held on the whole day of Saturday, 15th May. This will be open to the public at no charge. |
Consumer Contest
